Watching Scottish Democracy in Action

Scots around the world, otherwise known as the Scottish Diaspora, are watching happenings in the old country with great interest. This Thursday, an estimated 97% of eligible voters will go to the polls and answer a simple question, “Should Scotland be an independent country?”

And, while most of us overseas cannot vote, we can certainly participate in the age old practice of watching the results come in. And, advantageous for us, vote reporting expected from 2am-7am in Scotland means a fun 8pm-1am here in St. Louis.

And, as they absolutely should, the Scottish Arms in the Central West End will be hosting a Watch Party. Live music, great drinks, lots of food, and history in the making. Should be a fun Thursday evening.

See you there!
